The sacred portals of Gangotri shrine in the Himalayas will be reopened for devotees on May 13, after six months of annual closure during winter.
The doors of the Himalayan shrine will be thrown open to people amid chanting of hymns and all necessary rituals at 2:45 pm on the auspicious occasion of "Akshay Tritiya" on May 13.
